successive transformation

This work is an observation and manipulation of the incomplete, rapid photochemical reaction that is transformed, prolonged and directed in subjective artistic interventions. In this way, the artist extracts unique pictures out of a large range of possible shapes or colours that occure in the photochemical reaction. By capturing several stades of the ongoing transformation process, different extracts of the fading image are preserved in single prints or series. Like a snapshot, the active photochemical process is then condensed in a lasting photograph.
